It seems that not everyone is abandoning California for other data center markets. Base Partners has begun developing a new 116,000 square foot data center it purchased in the Los Angeles suburb of El Segundo.
Chief of real estate operations Jean Ann Krupp had the following to say about this new facility.
"This project will offer Southern California data center users an unprecedented level of security and flexibility. Critical to the success of the project is the ability to provide up to 300 watts of power per square foot, at a price that will be as low as 7.9 cents per kilowatt hour."
