Question from Greg <omitted>: I like the EMCU for its four contact closure points, but I have an application now that requires a fifth. What can I do?
Engineer Reply: The EMCU is an auxiliary unit providing two (2) ports for temperature/humidity probes, four (4) contact closure points with both Normally Open and Normally Closed contacts, a water sensor input, and an analog input sensor. The EMCU is connected via the Link port of any Smart or Switched series CDU or RPM and is accessed through the master unit's interface.
For your situation, the water sensor input can effectively be used as a fifth Normally Open contact closure point. Further, with a little manipulation, a sixth Normally Open contact closure can be set up by using the analog input. Be sure to set the SNMP traps as desired.
